SynergyWorkspace
One workspace, not eleven subscriptions.

The bundled office-suite play: best-of-breed open tools for documents, wiki, chat, and whiteboarding — unified behind one company login, one launcher, and one per-seat price. The economics of software you operate instead of software you rent.

The core

Best-of-breed, license-clean, one front door

Every component was chosen by actually reading its license and running it — proven, freely resellable open software only, with the pretenders excluded. Then the whole set goes behind one login.

📄Documents

Collabora-powered collaborative document editing — the full office format suite in the browser.

📚Wiki

BookStack knowledge base — the team's shelf of books, chapters, and pages, opened with the same one company login.

💬Chat

Rocket.Chat team messaging, fully rebranded into the workspace — down to the sign-in screen being the one company login and nothing else.

🖊️Whiteboard

Excalidraw sketching and diagramming, a click away in the shared launcher.

🗄️Drive

Nextcloud file services within the workspace bundle, themed to match and wired to the same one login.

🧭The launcher

A Google-style waffle injected into every app — the suite feels like one product, not a link farm.

The business

Margin from seat one

The model is simple: operate excellent open software well, price per seat under the incumbents, and let AI-native support keep service costs flat. Because the software is open and the infrastructure is owned, gross margin lands at roughly 74–85% from the first seat — decoupled from scale.

  • Tiered per-seat pricing positioned under Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 at every tier
  • One account per user across every app — your access to everything is created the first time you sign in
  • Support questions answered first by the platform's own knowledge engine, with the savings measured on a dashboard rather than promised
  • Careful licensing: the core bundle is software Synergy is fully free to resell, with anything more restrictive added only as a deliberate decision

By the numbers

11apps reachable from the shared launcher
The proof point

An unmodified wiki, running on SynergyDB

The deeper play is convergence: move the whole bundle's storage onto SynergyDB, the platform's own database. That claim got tested the hard way.

The result

A stock, unmodified copy of BookStack ran every one of its 102 setup steps on Synergy's own database engine and served the live wiki from it. Nextcloud followed with a clean install and zero fixes.

🔁Why it matters

Every gap the real apps uncovered became a permanent fix in the engine that benefits every future app. Running the bundle on our own database is simultaneously the quality program for the database.

The compounding loop: the workspace proves SynergyDB against real-world software, SynergyDB removes the licensing and hosting costs under the workspace, and SynergyAuth binds it all into one product. Each piece makes the others more sellable.
